Welcome to the Metuchen-Edison YMCA Manta Rays Swim Team. The MEY team is open to boys and girls ages 6-18 years of age committed to competitive swimming. We participate in the NJ YMCA Swim League and the New Jersey LSC of USA Swimming. Team members are organized into training groups based on an evaluation of individual ability by our coaching staff.
The Manta Rays Swim Team is a year-round program broken into three sessions: Short Course (September-March), Spring Training (April-May) and Long Course (May-July). Most swimmers join the team in September for the Short Course (25 yard) Season. Our focus is on developing stroke technique, discipline, competitive skills and team spirit. As members of MEY, our swimmers establish lasting friendships, self-esteem, and a sense of responsibility through goal setting.
